JAI Software Founder John Joseph Retires, Hires Cunningham as new CEO

Farmingdale, ME – June 3rd, 2026 – JAI Software developers of ECOS, the Energy Community Online System for managing LIHEAP, Weatherization and Energy Auditing programs are pleased to announce they have hired Patrick Cunningham as CEO while founder John Joseph transitions to retirement.  


Cunningham joins JAI after over two decades at the helm of Blue Marble Geographics, a leading geospatial software company with a global user base.  Cunningham grew the company from its early days through multiple mergers and acquisitions, growing revenues year after year while maintaining growth and profitability.  He brings a diversity of background from product management, business development, operations, and product management.

As Cunningham comes on board this coincides with the founder and owner of JAI, John Joseph, taking a step back for retirement.  Joseph hangs his hat on a long and influential career in Weatherization and Energy assistance.  He grew JAI from an idea to a successful software company over the course of two decades.  Joseph has transitioned to a seat at the head of JAI’s Board of Directors.
