Weatherization Client Support Specialist
JAI Software is an innovative software company based in Farmingdale, Maine. JAI develops and supports ECOS, the Energy Community Online Software program that is used by state and local agencies to manage the Weatherization and Energy Assistance programs. We currently serve the States of Maine, New Hampshire, Idaho, Alaska, Arkansas, and Washington D.C. These programs help low-income households to reduce their energy costs by using less energy to heat or cool their homes, and to avoid experiencing energy emergencies. Our goal is to help our customers maximize the benefits of our software while reducing their operating costs and simplifying the delivery of critical services to vulnerable populations. To meet the needs of our growing community of ECOS users, we are seeking a dedicated and tech-savvy Weatherization Client Support Specialist to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring our clients and internal staff receive exceptional support and training related to our weatherization products and services. The ideal candidate will be a proactive communicator with a passion for helping others and a strong grasp of technical systems.
Our goal would be to hire someone locally to our offices in Farmingdale, Maine however, we will hire remotely for the right candidate.
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide end-user support for clients and internal staff, resolving technical issues and inquiries.
Assist in onboarding new staff by delivering training on software tools, systems, and best practices.
Support ongoing training and development efforts for existing staff.
Document support processes, FAQs, and training materials to enhance knowledge sharing.
Participate in technical meetings to provide insights and relay client feedback.
Represent the company at trade shows and industry events, educating attendees about our products and services.
Collaborate with product and engineering teams to escalate and resolve complex issues.
Track and report on support metrics to help improve service delivery.
Desired Skills and Experience:
2+ years of experience in technical support, client services, or a related field.
Strong understanding of weatherization or energy efficiency programs is a plus.
Real world experience in Weatherization Assistance or Energy Efficiency programs is preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
Experience with help desk software and support ticketing systems.
Comfortable presenting in front of groups and conducting training sessions.
Willingness to travel occasionally for trade shows and client meetings.
Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities.
Comfortable with using Microsoft suite of business tools including but not limited to Word, Excel, Teams, Share Point, and more.
